Its been a while since my last post, I know. I did a big push to get fully kickstarted in December, then life caught up with me at the beginning of 2020....then COVID happened...and well, its taken some time to get back into the swing of things!
Just to start where I left off, I did a Minishoot giveaway in December to add to my portfolio and to meet some of the local pups and owners in Bondi. It was a great success, not only in terms of getting to know some really wonderful people who have been a huge support on Instagram (a thousand Thank You's for being so engaged! It means the world)
First of all, meet Alfie, the Boston Terrier! Aka The Boss! Isn't he a handsome boy?! And such a good boy too. Alfie knew how to work the camera like a dream, giving me those sought after 'head tilts' within minutes of starting our session. It's always a great feeling to know you have some winning photographs at the beginning, as it means I can also enjoy the photoshoot too.
We took a stroll in front of the Bondi Graffiti Wall and had some fun snaps with the murals. Saltwater Dreamtime is always a favourite with its funky pattern and colours giving some great visual texture to the overall image! Alfie even attracted the attention of some onlookers who were extremely impressed with his posing skills.
Smalls & Talls Mini-sessions run for about 1 hour, so we visited a few select spots along the sea to get the best views of Bondi Beach within our session time. With phenomenal ocean views and always something happening, it's not hard to find good locations to get some great photo around here :).
Bondi Beach is also the start of the 'Coastal Walk' Session so I sometimes have to be careful not to get too carried away with where we can shoot!
How perfect are this gorgeous fur family?! Just revisiting their images to write this post have really made me smile. We had a lot of fun and Alfie definitely kept us entertained throughout. Thank you to the three of you for being so wonderful and showing me exactly why I love pet photography oh so much.
Also, incase you didn't know, Alfie's Mum, Megan is the most sensational embroidery artist. Have a look at her vibrant and beautiful work which is on sale on Etsy. You will definitely fall down the rabbit hole once you start scrolling through her instagram feed @leveleightembroidery :
She even did an embroidery piece of Alfie Balfie. How wonderful is this?!
