Where to start?!

Updated: Aug 27, 2020

I haven't always been a photographer, but I have always adddooorrreeedddd the four-legged and furry. Who doesn't? There's nothing greater in the world than that feeling of seeing how happy pets are when you come through the front door.

My biggest push into pet photography, in addition to being kindly gifted a Canon DSLR for my 30th birthday (shhhh) by my lovely man, were the photos I once took of my beloved Rambo.

Yes, I am currently desperate to fill a puppy shaped hole in my heart! I no longer have my beautiful boy, but, the thing I am most grateful for, is the fact that I took the time to take endless photos of him. Grainy, over filtered for instagram purposes iphone photos, but photos nonetheless. Of course, the first thing I did was get them printed and framed and that little happy dance of joy that my heart does every time I see him on the wall can not be explained.

And so, I can think of no better thing to do in life than to give that feeling to others. I know you adore your pets more than anything in the world. They're the silly, little beings that make us laugh, give us cuddles without question...unless you are a cat owner, then there may questions...get us out and about to enjoy life and remind us daily not to take things so seriously. My boy Bo certainly made my world turn. We video and take photos of them at every moment and they sit on our phones and instagram feeds, to delight us when we scroll through and come across them.

Phone photos are great! They really, really are! I love that you have a camera wherever you go (and the quality is not half bad!). But these do not compare to seeing your rabbit or pup or kitty cat being their wonderfully funny, gorgeously cute selves, beautifully printed and framed, in all their glory, on the wall! I kid you not! That little inside smile you will have will be soooo worth your shoot! So commit! Bite the bullet! Book a session! It will be a day of fun and laughter that you'll remember and cherish for a looooonnng long time.

So, my sales pitch is over. I'll leave you to decide. But I am very much looking forward to meeting you and your furry one and only one day :)....Steph xxx
